Tiger Cub Fishing Derby

Congratulations goes to the 2 top fishermen at the August 9th Tiger Cub Fishing Derby at Camp Russell. Jonathan S. (on the right) caught the most fish and Beau R. caught the longest fish. Every Tiger Cub attending caught at least one fish and many caught 5 or more in addition to a few turtles!

The weather was cool, the fish were biting, and the donuts were fresh from Krispy Kreme, making for a great time. Thanks to all who attended and helped staff the derby (especially the Boy Scouts!)

Thank you.

Scouting for Adventure continues this week!

It will air this week on Cox Channel 250, (153 on Dish Network) - the Outdoor Channel.

Wednesday - 7:30 AM & 5:30 PM
Saturday - 1:00 PM

Scouting for Adventure is an original series based on the Boy Scouts of America and their flagship magazine, Boy’s Life. This high-adventure show targets young outdoorsmen, teaching wilderness skills with an emphasis on safety and team-building. Episodes feature exciting activities like rock climbing, kayaking, scuba diving, ropes courses, backpacking, horse riding, canoeing, and whitewater rafting; and cover important outdoor Scouting topics, including safety tips, gear reviews, merit badges, conservation, campfire cooking, and knot tying. The show promotes awareness of the Boy Scouts of America and its scouting values and activities.
